Orange Investments invited us to their Share&Learn series in Monterrey for a session with their project analysts on creativity as a trainable skill.
The premise: creativity is the ability to make connections other people don't see, which is another way of describing pattern recognition. Nobody in that room draws for a living, but everyone in it gets paid to notice. Leonardo's glass model of an ox heart, the kingfisher beak that shaped the nose of the Shinkansen, and a cheap sitar George Harrison bought in London carried the argument.
